Adrienne provides skilled, experienced labor support in the setting of your choice. Whether you are birthing in a hospital or a birth center, having a doula at your side is invaluable.
Plan to meet 2-3 times for prenatal visits so we can get to know each other, explore your choices, and share your hopes and dreams for your birth. Adrienne considers her job well done when you are informed about all of your options and can make decisions and self-advocate from a grounded perspective.
Labor support begins whenever and wherever you and your partner decide it is needed. Adrienne offers comfort measures, continuous physical support, emotional guidance, and information. She will do her best to ensure that your voice is heard and your preferences are honored. She stays throughout your entire labor, birth, and for several hours postpartum, usually until baby has breastfed and you are settled in with a snack and tea. Additionally, she is happy to take birth or new baby photos when her hands are free!
After your birth she visits once or twice, depending on your needs and your available postpartum support. Adrienne remains completely accessible by phone and email for your questions and concerns. Placental encapsulation is provided at a reduced rate when included in a doula package.
Monitrice services are available for an additional fee. Please inquire for details.
Adrienne trained as a doula with Wise Womanhood, ALACE, and The Matrona. She originally certified with ALACE (now ToLabor) in 2006.

"When labor began, Adrienne stayed in close contact...When the time came, she truly became an advocate for us and helped translate our birth plan and needs to the health care team. She provided comfort measures, encouragement and information throughout the experience. We felt that she truly understood the experience we wanted and she worked hard to facilitate it." ~Lisa & George
"You took care of the hospital situation with such grace. We didn't have to worry about anything else except having our baby. You made me comfortable and kept our birth plan always in mind; reminded me to go with whatever I was feeling. Thank you again for sharing of yourself, your expertise and your spirit. Your combination of strength and sensitivity is amazing." ~Shannon & Scott
